Work so far - Geology In Halton

Post by Tom »

So far, Bringing Geology to Life in Halton has looked at what sites of geological interest there are in Halton and produced an inventory which has appeared as report two. From this long-list, the project group have been discussing which sites are best for further study and which will have new display boards providing information about the geology and biology of the site. The next report is currently being prepared, and this will detail the site selection process as well as starting to look at the biological data that exists for the sites.

Next year, the tasks will be to produce the display boards, a leaflet which covers the borough of Halton as a whole, a short film and the Local Geodiversity Action Plan for Halton.

Maybe we/rECOrd should ask for any snippets of information regarding the 'Geology of Halton' that any interested members of the Halton community (or beyond) can offer including any references they know are available - books, leaflets, etc.
