Emerald Damsel

Emerald Damsel:

I see that the last posting was apparently in 2015. Is anyone out there ?

(Snapped at Doolittle Pool, Delamere last week).

Yes, there is somebody out here. As Cheshire Recorder for Odonata I get to see all postings on here.

Good to see Lestes sponsa at Doolittle. Anything else flying ?

Regards,
David Kitching

Hi David,

I'm now surveying for CWT on 3 sites in Delamere: Doolittle, Piersons and Hatchmere. All my sightings go to Chris Meredith and he will, I expect, forward them all to you. My best sightings so far are 2 adult and 1 teneral White-faced Darter at Doolittle and a Hairy Dragonfly at Piersons. I attach a (bad) pic of the teneral WFD for your interest. It's exciting to see these WFDs at Doolittle as there haven't been any larval translocations this year. So, any adults seen are from previous year's translocations.

Cheers for now.
John
