Mid Cheshire Swift (Apus apus) Colony?

Post by Ian_Daniells »

I have a rescued Swiftlet that is now ready for release, does anyone know of a Swift colony in the Mid-Cheshire Area as release should be done near other Swifts ?

There is a largish colony in Dykin Road, Widnes. Is this too far upt'North for you?

If anybody can put you in touch with Brian Martin he did a lot of recording of this species in Cheshire, hope this helps....

Thanks for that; Widnes is still within my radius of release, as soon as a bit of good weather comes along I will pop up and release the Swiftlet unless I get a closer location.

Once again many thanks for the response.
