Fork-palped Harvestman

Fork-palped Harvestman:
Fork-palped Harvestman (Dicranopalpus ramosus)
Fork-palped Harvestman (Dicranopalpus ramosus)
Recently found this Fork-palped Harvestman (Dicranopalpus ramosus) on the wall of our house and read on the Internet that it is a fairly recent arrival in UK. I lack the knowledge to know if this is a record of interest or if they have been in Cheshire for years.

Roger,

There are currently 68 Cheshire records for this species on the rECOrd database with another 16 records from Wales. So, not a scarce species but still not one that people see every day and still a very worthwhile record to get into RODIS !!

Many thanks for posting and for a great photo.

Thanks Steve - its good to know the Cheshire status.

I don't use RODIS or Mapmate - probably time I learnt how.

I am sure the staff at rECOrd would be only too happy to show you RODIS Roger, it is VERY easy to use - it must be as I have input well over 100,000 records into it.

If you cannot find a time with them then I am sure I could help you over the Net.

Hope you are well.

Cheers,
Steve
