My First Sighting(s) in 2009

Post by SteveMcBill »

My First Sighting In 2009:

I've just had my first butterfly sighting for 2009 - a Peacock (Inachis io) sunning itself in the warm Spring sunshine on bare earth at the edge of the lawn in Priory Close, Halton Village, Runcorn (SJ54038215).

Also seen this morning at the same site were 2 Buff-tailed Bumblebees (Bombus terrestris) and 1 Early Bumblebee (Bombus pratorum) which was visiting Crocus flowers.
