Is this a Dingy Skipper?

This butterfly, which was seen at Thurstaston, does not look quite like the photos in http://www.UKButterflies or the previous post but I can't find anything else to match. Any ideas? (Sorry about the grass in the way)

Hi Chris,

This is not a butterfly, but one of the day-flying moths called Burnet Companion (Euclidia glyphica).

Yes, definitely a Burnet Companion (Euclidia glyphica) moth. A diurnal (day-flying) insect.

An excellent record to send in to rECOrd or to put into RODIS !!!
