Marbled White in Cheshire:

Here is a photo of a Marbled White (Melanargia galathea) taken by Roger Benson on a roadside embankment near Meremoor Moss, Weston on 27/7/2012. The Marbled White has apparently been abundant in its southern breeding sites due to the wet summer producing a lush grown of grasses on which the larvae feed.

Regards,
Steve
