Three from Sussex

Post by CliveJ »

Three from Sussex:

Over the weekend I visited my son and his wife near Brighton. Naturally, I took the trap and set up in their back garden. The pick of the crop were three I'm not expecting to see here at home any time soon. (The problem with annoying a Privet Hawk to make it flash its stripes is that it very soon gets annoyed enough to fly off, so I was glad I managed to grab this, but sadly not a shot of the beast in flight.)

Hi Clive,

3 nice moths there. I'm off to Normandy on Saturday for two weeks, taking my traps of course and hoping for
some nice moths as well. A Varied Coronet would be good. I'll let you know.

Regards,
Greg

Bonnes vacances. It'll be interesting to hear what delights are just across the Channel.
