Post by PaulHopkins »

Last Night's Catch:

Pretty decent catch to MV in the garden last night (31/03/2017), min temp 9.8 deg C:

15 x Hebrew Character
4 x Diurnea fagella
4 x Clouded Drab
3 x Brindled Pug
3 x Common Quaker
3 x Double-striped Pug
3 x Twin-spotted Quaker
2 x Chestnut
2 x Early Grey
1 x Light Brown Apple Moth
1 x Clouded Drab
1 x Dotted Border
1 x Dyseriocrania subpurpurella
1 x Red-Green Carpet
1 x V-Pug
1 x Acleris ferrugana/notana
1 x Early Thorn

V-pug seems very early, certainly my earliest record.

Cheers,
Paul

40 moths of 10 species here. In addition to those species in your garden, I caught Oak Beauty, Small Quaker, Pale Pinion and Caloptilia stigmatella.

Steve
