Some Micros:

First, we must congratulate the two Steves for the fantastic 2016 report. It should help us decide what moths we could expect and it also highlights those we should think of reporting on the forum with a photo.

One of these is Pseudoswammerdamia combinella. We had two in our trap on Tuesday night (23/05/2017). Pity about its name !

We also had a dead Caloptilia robustella/alchimiella. Is it worth dissection ?

Finally we ahd this grey toned moth shape and size of Acleris species, Cnephasia species, could be worn Celypha lacuna. Anybody any ideas ?

Thanks,
Bob & Helen

Looks like Caloptilia robustella, which I confirmed for you last year, so no need to save it. Have a look at Syndemis musculana for the unknown.

Steve

Thanks Steve.

Once you look at all the images on the Internet it seems obvious. We are learning though.
