A Good Night On the Coast:
Sandy Carpet (Perizoma flavofasciata)
Sandy Carpet (Perizoma flavofasciata)
Hi All,

Good night here with 24+ species, new for me here were Sandy Carpet (above) and Green Carpet, which zoomed off before I could snap it ! One I couldn't identify is the other picture below and, nearest I can get is an early Dun Bar, I did consider Marbled Minor, but it's too big.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Rob

Hi Rob,

Your unidentified moth is a Common Lutestring (Ochropacha duplaris). I'm finding a lot more on the wing this year than previous.

Regards,
Greg

Don't tend to get too many moths from the front of the book here !

Cheers,
Rob
