Port Sunlight River Park BioBlitz

Post by PaulHopkins »

Port Sunlight River Park BioBlitz:

Had a very enjoyable couple of hours trapping at the River Park last night, and it was great to meet Huw John and others this morning to go through the catch. There were plenty of moths around, but I think they were only really starting to pick up when we packed up at midnight. I'll update with a full list when I get back from holiday next week.

There were quite a few micros I wasn't able to ID. I've attached photos of 3 of them, which I think are three different species. Are any of them "do-able" from these pictures ?

(Unfortunately two of them appear the right way up for me in Windows Explorer but are inverted when I upload them, and try as I might I can't figure out how to rotate them successfully !)

Cheers,
Paul

They may be all the same species; possibly Gynnidomorpha vectisana.

Regards.

Thanks for this intriguing suggestion, Steve - looks like a good candidate, I wish we'd held on to a couple of specimens for confirmation now !
