Apparently it rained overnight.
The new pond was in fact IN the moth trap - but fortunately, and surprisingly, there were no moth casualties. In truth, it was an exceptionally good night given the conditions with 87 moths of 37 species including four NFY - Ruby Tiger and Least Yellow Underwing are always nice to see and there was a Drinker for good measure.
