Vines Rustic ??

Hi All,

Opened the trap the morning and found these two inside. They both look an awful lot like Vines Rustic to me, but I would welcome any confirmation.

Cheers,
Rob

Yes Rob, both Vine's Rustic. With those at Upton and now these at New Brighton, it looks as if it could be all along the North Wirral coast. Now it's arrived I would expect it will quickly become established and you should catch them every year from now on and going by how common it is further south, it could become fairly common.

So will it remain confined to the coastal strip, or move inland and if so, when ?

Regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the confirmation. I was pretty certain the lighter one was Vines Rustic, because it's twin is in the Manley photographic guide. I might not have been so certain of the darker one by itself !

This mornings trap brought 2 Old Lady and our first Iron Prominent for the garden.

Cheers,
Rob
