Re: Angle-barred Pug
Hi Barry,
Your Pug, although well worn, still shows a bold round discal spot. The Angle-barred has a small elongated spot.
My bet is either a Wormwood or Golden-rod. The Wormwood normally has a bold elongated spot, whereas the the Golden-rod is bold and oval. I'd go for Golden-rod personally.
But I would be interested to know what others think.
Regards,
Greg

Hi Barry,
Angle-barred Pug has a narrow black discal spot, whereas on this example the spot is round. It's rather worn, so dissection would be the only way to confirm the identification.

Steve

Re: Help With This Pug Please
Hi Folks,
Just to add my two penneth ...... this would have been one I'd have simply released. With so few scales remaining an determination based on external features is unlikely at best. I get a lot of melanic pugs too and they don't get a second look either.
Cheers,
Steve
