Quaker Votes:
I am unsure as to the identity of the attached as it has some characteristics of Powdered but I just can't rule out Common, so I would appreciate a show of hands. It was caught on Sunday just gone (when little else was !)
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy,
Your moth is a Common Quaker, the Powdered Quaker is usually paler with a dusting of black scales.
The wings are also more pointed than the Common Quaker.
See pic below for comparison.
Regards,
Greg

Thanks Greg.
It was the black dots close to the stigma that were fooling me most. It still struck me as being different to all the Commons I have caught so far this year, especially in the broadness of the wings. Just goes to show.
