Excellent Night ...... Nine NFY, One NFG:

Morning Folks,

Having been away of late last night was only the third time I'd had the trap on this year and it proved to be an exceptional night for us for a late April session.

Twenty moths of 13 species is already exceptional but the catch included the following:

Parsnip Moth (Depressaria radiella) - first for our garden, number 670.
Acrolepiopsis assectella - the second ever
Tawny Pinion - the third ever
V-Pug - 12th ever and
Early Thorn - the first 'spring' record since 2009.

Off again in a couple of days so will not trap again now until early May so hopefully warmer nights and more moths !

Cheers,
Steve
