Heliozela sericiella ?

Post by Tim_Ward »

Heliozela sericiella ?

This tiny micro (4mm) was in my light trap on Sunday morning. I had difficulty focusing my camera on it, given the small size, but I attach 3 photos. I'd be grateful for confirmation that it is Heliozela sericiella. I think this is most likely because my garden has Oak trees.

Thanks,
Tim

You are probably correct Tim but if you check the National Moth Recording Scheme guidelines, you will see that adults from this family need dissecting to be sure.
