Bickerton/Bulkeley Hill SSSI Site

Bickerton/Bulkeley Hill SSSI Site:

Morning All,

My first trap at Bickerton Hills SSSI site last night in the South West of Cheshire.
It has a mixed woodland with open areas of heathland.
Even though it was dry, calm and reasonably mild the numbers were not as high as expected, maybe due to the heavy rain earlier in the day. We managed to get 22 species, highlights being Map-winged Swifts, Green Silver-lines, Broom Moths, Small Elephant Hawkmoth, Lime Hawkmoth and Alder Kitten (a few pics below).
I intend to do some more traps in the next week or two and hope to find some interesting species.
If anyone would like to join us let me know.
All are welcome.

Greg
