Best night of the year to date... 28 NFY!

Post by SteveH »

Hi folks,

very nice trapping session at home on 10th June, with 155 moths of 70 species and 28 NFY!

As other folks have been reporting, we managed Bird's Wing and Blotched Emerald (our first since 2013) but there was also a very handsome Figure of Eighty and a large Mullein larva on one of our buddleia.

In the micros, there were several each of Argyresthia cupressella, Argyresthia laevigitella and Phtheochroa rugosana plus Elachista argentella and Eudemis profundana.

Cheers,
Steve
