Plain Wave??

Two views of the same insect. Is the third cross-line sufficiently 'unkinked' for Plain Wave? My garden only has Riband Wave, but this from Denbighshire looks different.

Hi Clive

I'm fairly sure yours is a Plain Wave, the third cross-line is not kinked as in the Riband Wave.
I caught a Plain Wave last weekend ar Fenn's Moss. Below are pictures of both for comparison.
