New Garden Micro-moths

New Garden Micro-moths:

My only new garden macro-moth this year has been the worn Red Twin-spot Carpet on 30/05, a photo of which I uploaded onto the forum. http://www.record-lrc.co.uk/forum/viewt ... win#p10968

The same night I also had a new micro-moth in the garden, a male Elachista subalbidella, which feeds on Purple Moor-grass and is normally found on the moors and mosses. I think this is the first time it has been caught in a garden. On 08/06 I caught a male Coleophora paripennella, my 28th garden Coleophora. I grow plenty of the foodplant, Black Knapweed and have looked for the larval cases many times but never found any. A male Narycia duplicella was new on 14/06. The 26/06 produced Stathmopoda pedella and a couple of Phalonidia manniana and finally on 02/07 a male Pandemis cinnamomeana.

Regards,
Steve
