Another Case-bearer and News of the Ephestia Species:

Found a case bearer on Hawthorn today. From texts suspect it is Coleophora spinella. Some weeks ago we thought we had a Acrobasis consociella in our trap but Steve Hind suggested it was an Ephestia species which would need dissection for ID. The moth laid eggs which have now hatched and reached a size to be able to get a reasonable photo. The larvae are eating bird seed mix which confirms Steve's ID. We have looked at the photos of the larva of both Ephestia elutella and Ephestia kuehniella but cannot decide which is the best match.

Can anyone help please ?
