We caught this Kitten in our trap today but we are unsure if it is Sallow or Poplar what do you guys think ?

Hi,

I'd say your moth is a Sallow Kitten.

Sallow for me, as well. (Irregular edge of cross-line and relatively faint black edging).

Now I'm having second thoughts !

Just double-checked against the pictures on the Norfolk Moths website, and I would say Sallow on the grounds that the black outer edge of the cross line isn't black enough, or broad enough, for Poplar.

Thanks for all the help and info, only our second season of trapping so we have a lot to learn ........
