A Moth For ID Please:
Unidentified Micro 1 - any pointers ??
Unidentified Micro 1 - any pointers ??
I have two micros which I am struggling with, sadly not from Cheshire but from Merseyside, both caught in the garden. I feel I should recognise them but, so far, am having no success with their IDs The first one, caught on the 14/07/2018, is shown in the photo below - hopefully a photo of the second will arrive later today (if I can get it to keep still - the fridge seems to be having no effect).

Ben Smart has been in touch and it turns out to be a female Cnephasia longana - not a species I have ever caught before - excellent.

Actually a Cnephasia you can do without having to resort to genitalia.

Cheers,
