An excellent night...

Post by SteveH »

Morning folks,

well, I kind of wish I'd have been running another "Introduction to moths and moth trapping" event today as last nights catch contained species which would certainly have switched people on to moths. In total there were 75 moths of 35 species in the trap, including: Orange Swift, The Chevron, September Thorn, Ruby Tiger and The Sallow. Less eye-catching species included Small China-mark and a Common Marbled Carpet. Nine new species for the year wasn't too bad either.
