Found two larva whilst out locally. An Iron prominent larva has now changed its coat and is quite something. A Comma butterfly larva was another nice find.
A coxcomb prominent moth laid eggs and the larva are developing nicely.We also found a leaf covered in eggs which we thought might be beetles or flies but lots of little looper larva hatched out. Sadly most seem to have disappeared! Has anyone ever come across such a large batch of eggs. This was on crab apple.
