Just a few from August that I'm not sure about, any help appreciated!
Basing my ID of this one partly on johnK's ID hints from about this time last year (http://www.record-lrc.co.uk/forum/viewt ... 20&p=10288):
I queried this one on the Facebook group "Flying Today Micros and Day-flyers" and had a suggestion of Cydia fagiglandana (Chris Knott) - looked like a good ID to me:
Not sure if either of these photos support Common Wainscot over Smoky (or something else):
Cheers
Paul

Re: ID help requests August 2018
Hallo Paul,
No.2 is E. truncicolella a bit past it's best but note the angles of the first line and four slender dots just distad.
No. 5 is E. mercurella, quite dark distad of the first line almost clouding out the detail of the long irregular black claviform stigma. This individual is sitting with it's wings a little closer together than usual so the rounded look of the second lines where they meet is not quite as obvious as usual.
E. lacustrata in comparison typically has a paler central wing area so that the x-marks stand out more, the first line has much less dark distad so that the four black, more rounded dots, stand out more. It also has a neat narrow black line (alongside and basad to the second line) which tends to show up more because of the contrast with the pale central wing area. Like mercurella the second line also forms a neat curve where they meet.
Hope this helps,
John
