Morning All
Not much doing on the moth front last night, Oak Hook-tip, 4 Small Blood-veins, 2 Lunar Underwings,
Heart and Dart and the usual Yellow Underwings. But this Hornet mimic Hoverfly Volucella zonari.
Was feeding on my Buddleia yesterday afternoon.

Volucella zonari
Re: Volucella zonari
It's a fairly recent arrival into Cheshire - as is its close relative Volucella inanis, so have a good look at anything BIG in case there's the two species involved.
