Morning folks,
the warm night induced (for us) a superb October nights' trapping, with 30 moths of 17 species, seven of which were NFY. Nothing out of the ordinary for the time of year excepting for our 9th ever Pink-barred Sallow and our latest ever Small Dusty Wave. Commonest species was Shuttle-shaped Dart, with nine individuals, then Blair's Shoulder-knot...
Now standing at 322 species, 2018 fixes itself as the 6th best species tally ever and the number of individuals the best since 2015, so a decent year on both counts.
Cheers,
Steve
