This has me beaten

Post by wirralbirder »

Hi All
Trapped in the garden July 02nd 2018.The shape reminds me of an Emerald but colour and markings rule that out.
When I first took it out of the trap a faded Small Yellow Underwing came to mind but once again I discounted it.
I am left with a small Riband Wave but that too doesn't seem correct.I need help on this.
Cheers Harry

I vote for a somewhat malformed Riband Wave, but I’ll leave it to the experts for a definitive answer!
