Re: Busiest home trap so far
Hi Greg
The season is clearly more advanced on the Cheshire Plain. Up here I had Pale Brindled Beauty, Acleris notana/ferrugana and 8 Chestnut.
Regards
Steve

Re: Busiest home trap so far
Hi All,
Not to busy here, even though min temperature was 8.6C.
Common Quaker, Tortricodes alternella (2) and Carpatolechia decorella all NFY, plus Pale Brindled Beauty.
Recently (06/02/2019) I also recorded my earliest ever Clouded Drab in the garden, with a second on 08/02/2019.
It does seem that the season is progressing well.
Mel.

Re: Busiest home trap so far
Definitely the best return for us so far this year as well:
Pale Brindled Beauty 7
Oak Beauty 1
Dotted Border 2
Chestnut 5
March Moth 4
Tortricodes alternella 1
Up until now we'd only had 11 moths from 3 species in total, although a Spring Usher (in Jan) looked new to the Cheshire slice of our 10 km square!
The weekend temps look encouraging as well.

Re: Busiest home trap so far
Plenty of moths in my trap this morning too, among them this rather peculiar Dotted Border; not a form I've seen before.
Cheers
