Lead-coloured Drab

Post by stevehind »

I am unlikely to find Lead-coloured Drab in my Higher Poynton garden as the foodplant does not occur locally. I know of a few sites where aspens grow, after looking for the mines of Ectoedemia argyropeza and Stigmella assimilella during the autumn. On Thursday evening 21/3/2019, I visited one of these sites, at Mere Farm Quarry, Nether Alderley, where I left a couple of actinic traps for two hours (19:00-21:00 hours). I was successful in catching this single female Lead-coloured Drab.
