Query Diurnea fagella

Post by CliveJ »

Hi all

I've recently acquired an allotment near the Whitchurch Road Park and Ride in Chester and of course have begun to trap there. I'd be interested to know if anyone else traps or has previously trapped on this allotment colony.

So far nothing of particular note, but in one of my rare forays into the world of micros I did trap and photograph this on 26th March. I think it is Diurnea fagella, but confirmation or correction would be most welcome.

Thanks

Clive

Hi Clive
If you can provide a grid reference I'll check the database, although I doubt anyone will have trapped there before.

There are no moth records on the database for anywhere within the whole 1km square SJ4365, so everything you catch will be new.
