Yes its a micro alright, a Mompha species which I cannot be sure of. Maybe divisiella or bradleyi - or even something else.

Steve Hind may know better once he's had chance to look at your pic.

Hi Heather

Mompha divisella and bradleyi are category 4 species which can only be determined by dissection. The latter reached Cheshire in 2011 and has been spreading ever since then. It has been common in my garden for a few years now. The former has yet to be confirmed in the county.
