Highlight or not?

Post by melbellingham »

Morning All,

I can’t think of many recorders who would consider Large Yellow Underwing Noctua pronuba as a highlight, but last night (21/04/2019) it was the highlight of my trap, simply because it was my earliest ever record. My previous earliest records have been on the last day of May in both 2017 and 2018.

Other moths recorded:

3 Shuttle-shaped Dart, 2 Least Black Arches and singles of Oak-tree Pug, Brindled Pug, Double-striped Pug, Clouded Drab, Hebrew Character, Early Thorn, Many-plumed Moth, Bee Moth, Tachystola acroxantha and Light Brown Apple Moth.

Mel.
