More Pugs

Post by JulianB »

We had 12 pugs last night, including our first Foxglove Pug for the year, at least 4 Brindled Pugs, a couple too worn for identification, plus some others for which I'd appreciate some help. I think one may be a Double-striped pug (18mm), which would be new for our garden. I've also pictured 3 possible Common Pugs (which I'm not familiar with), and a fourth pug that I can't quite fit in anywhere.

Thanks for any thoughts, Julian

Hi Julian

The first three, I agree look like Common Pugs. The fourth I'm not sure, probably another Common.
The fifth looks like an Oak-tree Pug.

Thanks Greg - now it does look good for an Oak Tree, both in pattern and with its rounded wing tips! I'd focused just on the smaller species.

Cheers, Julian
