Longhorn Moths
Was out of Cheshire at Llanymynech Rocks last week and excited to find an amazing dancing party of Longhorn Moths which from morphology and behaviour I think best fit Adela reaumurella . I am new to this family so am posting a couple of photos to ask if others agree or disagree on this ID.
Then today at Little Budworth Common a small moth flew into the car and my wife managed to pot it for me. My first thoughts were that it was likey another Adela reaumurella but on photographing this the antennna were not so long as in the latter and instead of being all white were white only at the base. Following up on this my best fit is for Cauchas rufimitrella. Again I would please ask for confirmation or reidentification from attached photos. Thank youRe: Longhorn Moths
