Micro ID

Post by bobhelencoan »

Have not been trapping recently but di have a new moth for us on the 20th May. Triple lines.
Have had more success with larva hatching into adult moths. Cinnebar, Green oak tortrix and iron prominent to name a few.
We also have a dark micro. We fell sure it is a dark version of a common micro but the markings are very unclear except for the wing tips. We would appreciate any suggestions as to its ID, Thanks Bob & Helen

Yes, the markings are more distinct on the second one.
The larva often start feeding before the leaf has opened which leaves a distinctive pattern on the leaf.
