Is anyone familiar with the Shaded Pug? I caught a few last week on The Isle of Mull

Can anyone confirm please.
Thanks

Re: Shaded Pug ?
Hi Greg,
For what it is worth, your second image looks very similar to a coupl we caught in Ireland, last year. The shape looks good, and I think I can see the paler band passing through the middle section of the forewing.
Not sure about your first image though, as the shape looks wrong. I have only seen 2 specimens though, so I could be wrong.
Mel.

Hi Mel
Thanks for that. It was also confirmed by Brian Hancock as Shaded Pug.
I assume he referred to the second photo, as I now agree with you, the first one looks doubtful.
As Shaded Pug was one of my target species while on Mull, it's a great result.
Regards
Greg
