Shaded Pug ?

Morning All

Is anyone familiar with the Shaded Pug? I caught a few last week on The Isle of Mull
which seem to match the description,
Can anyone confirm please.

Hi Greg,

For what it is worth, your second image looks very similar to a coupl we caught in Ireland, last year. The shape looks good, and I think I can see the paler band passing through the middle section of the forewing.

Not sure about your first image though, as the shape looks wrong. I have only seen 2 specimens though, so I could be wrong.

Hi Mel

Thanks for that. It was also confirmed by Brian Hancock as Shaded Pug.
I assume he referred to the second photo, as I now agree with you, the first one looks doubtful.
As Shaded Pug was one of my target species while on Mull, it's a great result.
