Hi All
Having consulted the excellent Leaf and stem mines of British Flies and other insects i can now with confidence identify it as Agromyzidae anthtracina one of only three nettle leaf miners.Only A.anthracina mines wholly in the centre of the leaf, the other two at the leaf's edge.
