We've ID's one of today's micros as Ancylosis oblitella (Saltmarsh Knot-horn), which is described in Sterling & Parsons as probably only resident in parts of south-east England, but as an immigrant and temporary colonist in some other areas. Either way, it's not supposed to be in Cheshire! Picture attached if anyone has any other ideas.

Thanks, Julian

I'll leave the ID to SteveHH but just for info Ancylosis oblitella, like many species, is heading north and has reached the Midlands (at least) since arriving in the UK in the early 1950's.

Cheers,
Steve

An excellent find Julian
You should do well up there for migrants and wandering individuals, being on the side of an upland valley and with no light pollution.

Steve
