Hi Folks,

had a very nice day on my local patch today (9th July), with my first Narrow-bordered Five-spot burnets, Dingy Footman, loads of crambids and Celypha lacunana, Silver Y, Diamond-back Moths etc; and three which I'm still in the dark over, attached below. Thought the larva might be Swammerdamia pyrella but am not convinced.

I might be wrong in thinking that I am the only dinosaur out there who doesn’t us FB, which I am assuming refers to Facebook, and there may be other members who have there own reasons, so on behalf of us all (or just me), as the post has been made on the Forum, and as I would like to follow it through, could I appeal to someone to complete the answers please.

I would appreciate it.

Okie dokie Stegasaurs

I think that most of the posts do get the same complete treatment through duplication on both groups but this one slipped through the net I believe because those commenting on it on FB aren't members here.

To bring you up to date, the larva was actually thought to be of a lacewing fly and the other mystery moth a Cnepahsia of sorts.

I think SteveHH and I do our best to keep both camps informed but there are a number of folks in both this group and the one on FB who don't belong to the other.

Until I was 'obliged' to become one of the three FB group Administrators I wouldn't go near any social media outlet with a barge pole but, as with most things its actually OK.
