Plume help please

Post by Drtim55 »

Hi,

Although we feel that we are improving on our micro ID's, we had this plume in our trap this morning that we cannot ID with certainty. We think it could be a common or plain but clarification would be brilliant.

Thank you in anticipation :)

Tim

Hi Tim,

I think you are right with the ID. The clinching feature is the pairs of spines on the hindlegs - unfortunately not entirely clear in the photo - but if you look at them, the pairs will not be the same length on either side of the leg. If you still have it, take a look and see :-)

Cheers,
Steve
