Some Norfolk Moths

Post by JulianB »

Hi all,

We spent a week in Norfolk in mid-July, and managed to squeeze our Heath trap into the car with us. We ran this a few times to see what was around the farm where we were based. I was expecting to trap some moths not found in Cheshire, but in the end I think everything we identified had turned up in Cheshire at least once. The Privet Hawkmoths were the flashiest - we had four of these all in. I've attached photos of some of the catches not seen every day in our own county. Please feel free to correct any mis-identications, as all these moths were new to us!

Cheers, Julian

PS I have no idea why the Dwarf Cream Wave picture keeps flipping upsidedown....
