Micro ID help

Post by PaulHopkins »

At first glance I thought this moth was just another unidentifiable Nepticulid, but looking at the photo closer it seems to have fairly distinctive markings. I can't find it in the books though, is there any chance it might be identifiable?

Hi Paul,

my first thoughts were of a Mompha? After that it might be langiella but more likely a dissection jobbie.

Thanks both. New one for me, and possibly for the Wirral by the look of it.
