Ypsolopha horridella

Post by GrahamJones »

Over the moon to record Ypsolopha horridella (nationally scarce b) in my garden trap in Little Neston on the 3rd August. The 2nd record for VC58. Presumably from the old apple trees that the trap sits under, will be interesting to see if I record anymore in the future.

Dodgy photo attached (the moth was so lively that I needed to anesthetise it with Ethyl Acetate to get a photo).

Thanks to Steve Hind for confirmation of my ID.

Graham
