Micro help please

Post by CliveJ »

Help would be much appreciated on these doubtless commonplace micros. I have much to learn about them (and about how to photograph them).

Thanks

Clive

Hi Clive
All four ID's are correct. Three are common and widespread in Cheshire, Epinotia ramella is much more local in your area, as its food plant, birch, tends to be rarer over your way, so a good find if from your garden.

Many thanks - there are a couple of birches just beyond the garden fence, so that probably accounts for the E ramella.

Cheers
