Well beside my trap was this little Pug... no doubt couldn't squeeze in with all the LYU which were crammed in!!
Thanks
Nev
I'm guessing it's a Toadflax or Foxglove Pug?Pug Help Please..
Re: Pug Help Please..
Hi Nev,
A Toadflax would have been nice but yours is a Double-striped Pug
which is fairly common this time of the year.
Nev if you haven't already got one, I highly recommend Brian Hancock's Pug Moths of NW England booklet.
Which is a very helpful guide for Pugs in our area.
Maybe one of the Steve's could give you his contact details.
Regards
Greg

Re: Pug Help Please..
Hi Nev,
I managed to buy 2 copies of this when it was first published (my error). Owning one copy definitely make it easier to identify pugs, but having two copies doesn't make it twice as easy! I was going to offer our spare to anyone who needs it - either to a reformed pug-dodger, or to someone new.
I suspect most people on this forum pre-ordered a copy prior to publication, and many contributed records. It's an amazing book, and yours for free if you want it - email me.
Anyone else welcome, if you've already sorted a copy.
Cheers, Julian

Hi Julian
Apologies for my tardy reply as I've been up in Cumbria and not so internet connected. I hadn't realised you'd replied with your generous offer, but I've already got a copy coming from the Natural History Book Store!
Many thanks again, I'm sure someone else can be the benefactor of your kind offer
