Vapourer: now with photo :-)

Post by SteveH »

Morning folks,

so, not a particularly awe-inspiring catch last night but still 197 moths of 35 species. Two (Vapourer and Green Carpet) NFY and another Vine's Rustic was also interesting. The Vapourer was just our 8th ever, the Vine's the 9th.

Interestingly, Large Yellow Underwing (28) was the third most common species, after Epiphyas postvittana (38) and Square-spot Rustic (35).

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Steve,

I also had Vapourer last night, but only 2 Square-spot Rustic. I think others may have been frightened off by the 295 Large Yellow Underwings!

Regards,
Ray
